Ohio Sen. Sherrod Brown Weighs-In on Budget Battle
WKBN – Ohio Senator Sherrod Brown was in the Valley on Wednesday afternoon, giving his views on the budget battle and its impact on senior citizens, especially with Medicare.
Brown claims Republican plans would slash the program in the future, leaving the next generation of seniors being forced to pay more for their services.
“You don’t for the future, you don’t privatize Medicare. You don’t privatize social security, you don’t cut student Pell grants for kids, middle-class working kids that go to Youngstown State. You don’t underfund health care in order to balance the budget, cause it won’t work,” said Brown.
