Ohio Sen. Brown Applauds Solis visit; ex-DHL workers cheer added DOL funds
Columbus Examiner – COLUMBUS, Ohio (CGE) – On the same day Secretary of Labor Hilda L. Solis was in northwest Ohio touring the Toledo Jeep Assembly complex and visiting a solar panel maker in Perrysburg, she announced continued assistance for thousands of workers affected from the jobs lost at Wilmington Air Park in southwest Ohio.
U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-OH) expressed his appreciation for the secretary's visit to Ohio "to see first-hand the cutting-edge work carried out by the men and women of Chrysler and Willard & Kelsey," the solar panel manufacturer, two industries he said "have played a tremendous role in the revitalization of northwest Ohio."
