Ohio’s politicians call for more civility
Columbus Dispatch – When Democratic Sen. Sherrod Brown held a 2009 town-hall meeting in Cincinnati to discuss health-care reform, metal detectors and a police presence were needed along with the usual chairs and microphone.
It was impossible to say yesterday whether overheated political rhetoric contributed to the attack on Rep. Gabrielle Giffords, Brown said in an interview.
