Program seeks to find jobs for veterans
News Herald — U.S. veterans risked their lives to protect our freedom.
But when they return back to civilian life, they often have trouble finding employers looking for their unique skill sets. A new program is looking to change that.
The Manufacturing Advocacy & Growth Network has launched a pilot program to match returning U.S. veterans with specific training for key manufacturing jobs in Northeast Ohio.
Despite Ohio’s high unemployment rate, jobs for machinists, inspection/quality technicians and equipment maintenance personnel are still largely unfilled.
