Republican budget would slash block grants
WKYC – AKRON — Democratic officials are speaking out against proposed Republican cuts in the Community Development Block Grant Program.
Community Development Block Grant projects provide jobs and economic activity.
The Republican-controlled House budget proposes a 60 percent cut in the program. That's $2.9 billion.
Ohio would lose more than $100 million.
