Richland County to receive FEMA funds

Mansfield News Journal – Three north central Ohio counties are among those that will receive Emergency Food and Shelter funds, according to U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown, of Mansfield.

Richland, Crawford and Huron are among 46 Ohio counties that will receive money to help run emergency food and shelter programs. Richland County will receive $66,624, while Huron County stands to collect $35,701 and Crawford County will pocket $24,339.

“With our economy still on the mend and with paychecks failing to keep pace with the rising cost of living, many Ohio families are still struggling to balance mortgage payments with grocery and utility bills,” Brown said. “That’s why this funding is so important. The Emergency Food and Shelter Program is critical to helping Ohio families gain stability during this economic recovery.”
