Sen. Sherrod Brown: Lorain Area Has Key to Ohio Jobs
Morning Journal – Lorain has the right assets — educated students and dedicated workers, a history of manufacturing, and innovative businesses — to lead our state’s economic recovery. We need to continue to harness these strengths to ensure Ohio remains competitive in the years to come.
Just recently, I visited Lorain County Community College’s new SMART Commercialization Center — an open source for university partners and entrepreneurs to access the most advanced equipment and commercialization support. Advanced technologies known as sensor/MEMS-based systems are used in everything from cars to medical equipment and smartphones. The SMART Commercialization Center will help spur entrepreneurship and innovation and build a new, cutting-edge industry in our state, while attracting new, 21st-century companies to Ohio.
