Senator Brown Calls For Army Corps To Move Faster On Flooding

WFIN – Senator Sherrod Brown is once again asking for the Army Corps of Engineers to pick up the pace when it comes to flood mitigation along the Blanchard River. The Democratic Senator sent a letter to the Assistant Secretary of the Army for Civil Works this week calling for quick approval of the first phase of the flood study. It’s the second time in the last two months Brown has asked the Army Corps to move quickly on the issue.

In his latest request, Brown said, “the Blanchard River flood study is critically important to homeowners and small business owners in Hancock and Putnam Counties.” He added that in this economy Findlay and Ottawa simply can not afford to keep cleaning up after floods.
