Sherrod Brown Frustrated with Possible Government Shutdown

WTRF – Brown says lurking shutdown “just plain wrong.”

If you’re planning on visiting Washington, D.C., this weekend for the Cherry Blossom festival, you might want to think again.

Unless both sides of the political aisle come to an agreement, our government will be shutting down after Friday at midnight. U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown, D-Ohio, reacted strongly to the possible shutdown on Thursday night.

Brown said the shutdown of the government will not only cost this country jobs, but hurt the nations recovery as well.

The current funding resolution expires on Friday at midnight, Thursday, Brown reacted to the House budget request.

“We’ve come to an agreement on the numbers and the house of representative, so far, is insisting on de-funding Planned Parenthood and that seems to be the sticking point,” said Brown.
