Southwest Ohio companies to get NASA technology grants
Dayton Daily News – Companies in the Dayton, Middletown and Cincinnati areas are receiving grants from the National Aeronautics and Space Administration to support technology development, U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown, D-Ohio, said Thursday.
NASA is providing the grants under the Small Business Innovation Research and Small Business Technology Transfer programs that are intended to help small companies with the expense of development and startup of new technologies. Federal agencies award the contracts for technology research and development that can help the government and may be further developed for commercial markets.
The grant amounts are being negotiated, but are typically between $100,000 and $125,000, according to Brown’s office.
