We set a goal to raise $25,000 by January 31st to prepare to fight back when Karl Rove and his corporate allies come into Ohio with their endless campaign cash through the door Citizens United opened.
It was an ambitious goal, but we made it. By Monday at midnight, we had raised $25,113, and we couldn’t have done it without you — your contributions, your re-tweets, your Facebook posts, and your help spreading the word were integral to our success. Thank you.
This won't be the last time I call on you during this campaign. We have 21 months to go, and each one will be a bigger test of our shared strength. But we are beginning to send a message: Ohio's Senate race won't belong to the special interests in 2012. It will belong to the people.
