U.S. Sen. Brown seeks help in rebuilding Wooster’s ag research center
Mansfield News Journal – WOOSTER — U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown sent a letter Thursday to U.S. Department of Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack, urging the agency to help rebuild portions of the Agricultural Research and Development Center in Wooster that were destroyed by a tornado in mid-September.
According to Brown, a Mansfield Senior High School graduate, the Wooster-based research and teaching center "has been a crucial link between agricultural producers and world-class researchers and scientists, and is a cornerstone of economic development for the region.
