As part of re-election, Brown looks to organize support from Ohio women
Dispatch Politics – In an election year when women’s issues — particularly reproductive health — are becoming increasingly dominant, this news should come as little surprise: Sen. Sherrod Brown launched “Women for Sherrod Brown” today as part of his 2012 re-election effort.
The group, co-chaired by former Dayton Mayor Rhine McLin and Mary Boyle, the first female majority whip in the Ohio House, is aimed at playing an advisory role on women’s issues and will work to get Ohio women involved in the campaign.
In a statement announcing the new group, the two co-chairs said Brown is working “to beat back the constant attacks against women’s rights and women’s healthcare.”
