Chicago Examiner – Have you even heard this news?  Dana Fowle of the FOX 5 I-Team out of Atlanta posted an update yesterday to what many of us have never even heard in the first place, that three major warnings have been issued by the FDA (Food & Drug Administration) about the potential dangers linked to some dog treats.  Over 500 complaints have been filed in several months’ time.  The problem is that the public has not heard these warnings.  News Reporter Fowle figures that it is because these treats are still being sold at major retailers – no warnings announced!

At least one Illinois pet owner has sued because his nine-year-old Pomeranian, Cleopatra, allegedly has died from these same treats that have been imported from none other than China.  That dog owner is Dennis Adkins.  He filed a $5 million class action lawsuit against Nestle Purina and Wal-Mart.  Cleopatra ate their “Yam Good” Waggin’ Train Chicken Jerky dog treats.  The treats were made by Nestle Purina and distributed by Wal-Mart, even after knowing that the FDA had put out the warning.
