JOSH CLAIMS: Sherrod hasn’t passed a budget in three years.

THE TRUTH:  Sherrod voted for The Budget Control Act which has the force of law. 

1. Sherrod voted for The Budget Control Act, which cut one trillion dollars from the deficit and laid the groundwork to cut another trillion. [Columbus Dispatch editorial board interview, 8/24/12]

Sen. Brown:  We Passed The Budget Control Act Which Cut $1 Trillion And Set The Path For A Second Trillion.  In an August interview with The Columbus Dispatch editorial board, Senator Brown said “We passed the Budget Control Act overwhelmingly – passed the House, passed the Senate, then signed by the President, bipartisanly.  The Budget Control Act – we cut one trillion dollars, these weren’t suggested, blueprint, be nice to get to a trillion dollars in cuts.  We cut a trillion dollars with the Budget Control Act and the Budget Control Act cut a second billion sort of prospectively, and that’s what sequestration’s all about.  So it cut a billion in real dollars, and it set the course, set the wide path for a second trillion if we move forward on sequestration and that’s all, you know that’s all out there now, unsure what’s gonna happen, but we can talk about that if you want.” [Columbus Dispatch ed-board interview, 8/24/12]
