Hinckley Township woman wins business honor
The Medina-Gazette – A Hinckley Township native, inspired to start her company after she contracted malaria when she was a Peace Corps volunteer in Africa, is the “Small Business Person of the Year.”
Victoria Tifft, president and CEO of Clinical Research Management, was honored by the U.S. Small Business Administration at a banquet Monday in Washington, D.C.
Tifft founded ClinicalRM in 1994 and started with three employees. The company has grown to employ more than 350, according to Tifft’s bio on the company’s website.
“I thought that I really wanted to do something with my life to try to bring about prevention of diseases like malaria,” she said Wednesday.
