LTE: Sen. Brown supports Ohio military families
The Dispatch — Sen. Sherrod Brown has been a strong supporter of Ohio military veterans, yet millions of dollars in “super-PAC” funding is being spent disparaging his accomplishments.
Brown consistently has supported the needs of troops in the field and has championed business incentives for hiring veterans and backed special training to prepare them for private-sector employment. He co-sponsored the post-9/11 GI bill, which makes some 2 million veterans eligible to receive full college tuition or up to $17,500 in Ohio, as well as funding for housing and books.
