Ohio scenic railroad gets $3.2M in federal grants
Plain Dealer – A scenic railroad serving a national park in northeast Ohio has landed five federal grants totaling $3.2 million.
The grants were announced Tuesday by the head of the Federal Transit Administration for the Cuyahoga (ky-uh-HOH’-guh) Valley Scenic Railroad.
U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown says the money will allow the railroad to rebuild locomotives with energy-efficient technology, replace power cars and install a pedestrian bridge.
