Parma VA Outpatient Clinic opens with overdue medal ceremony for veterans and families

Sun News – U.S. Senator Sherrod Brown (D-OH) presented three World War II veterans and their families a total of 18 overdue and replacement medals this morning at the new Parma VA Outpatient Clinic on Brookpark Road.

Brown presented the medals to Henry Zupancic of Euclid and the families of deceased WWII veterans Eugene F. Kovach and Irving Howard Kramer.

“Ohio’s veterans made invaluable contributions to our fight for worldwide peace and democracy,” Brown said in his remarks. “Our state’s current and former service members have answered the call to action without delay throughout our nation’s history.

“As a member of the Senate Committee on Veterans’ Affairs, one of the most rewarding aspects of my job is fighting for Ohio’s veterans by ensuring that they receive the benefits they so richly deserve.”
