Prescription drug trafficking in Ohio
WLIO – Hancock County – Ohio is cracking down on the so-called oxy-express pipeline, otherwise known as Interstate 75.
Although prescription drug abuse is on the decline here in Ohio, painkillers from states like Florida, where doctors are known to prescribe more painkillers than any other states, are making their way up north, supplying Ohio and other states with Oxy-Codone along the I-75 corridor.
Senator Sherrod Brown called on the National Governors Association to follow Ohio’s example and choke off the flow of prescription drugs and end the deadly epidemic.
