Sen. Brown stumps for SBA
The Cincinnati Enquirer – U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown on Tuesday took the argument in favor of continued federal support for small business job growth to the factory floor, visiting a small Paddock Hills specialty chemical company that’s expanding with help from U.S. Small Business Administration loan guarantees.
Family owned Kost USA Inc., has added about 30 jobs and wants to add more since acquiring a century-old manufacturing plant on Tennessee Avenue two years ago with the help of $3 million in SBA loan guarantees.
The SBA guarantees assume a large share of the risk for banks making the actual loans allowing them to make loans they otherwise woudn’t.
