Sen. Brown Touts New Jobs, Improved Ohio Vets Care
WSYX – U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-OH) visited a central Ohio manufacturing facility Wednesday to announce new jobs created to improve medical care for Ohio veterans.
During a news conference at Farber Specialty Vehicles in Reynoldsburg, Brown is being joined by a central Ohio worker who was hired because of a new federal contract that created 30 jobs through the assembly of vehicles to improve access to health care for America’s veterans.
Brown is also joined by a top official from the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs to announce the details of two contracts awarded to Farber Specialty Services in Reynoldsburg to build 20 Mobile Vet Centers (MVCs) and more than 200 ambulatory care vehicles at the plant.
Ken Farber, President of Farber Specialty Vehicles is set to turn over the completed MVCs to the VA for deployment across the U.S on Thursday.
