U.S. Senator’s talk flood mitigation
WLIO — Ohio’s two United States Senators continue to push for projects that could prevent future flooding in the Blanchard River Watershed.
Findlay and Ottawa were hit devastatingly hard during flooding in August of 2007. Since then, the two communities have raised funds and have worked with the Army Corps of Engineers to study possible solutions. Findlay mayor Lydia Mihalik, Ottawa mayor Dean Meyer, and Findlay-Hancock County economic development director Tony Iriti traveled to Washington D.C. this week to push for further progress.
