Sandusky Register: Brown bill would simplify taxes
A Norwalk furniture executive says he supports a new bill to simplify tax rules for workers who are in another state for a short amount of time.
The measure by U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown would provide common rules for all 50 states.
“We want our employees to spend their time in valueadded activities. We would rather our accounting team work on helping to grow our business than to track all the different state reporting requirements,” said Mike Kenney, president and CEO of Norwalk Furniture.
Brown, D-Ohio, and John Thune, R-S.D., introduced the Mobile Workforce State Income Tax Simplification Act.
