WSAZ: Meigs County Receives Federal Funding for Roadway Project
U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-Ohio) announced that the Appalachian Regional Commission (ARC) awarded a grant to the Meigs County Commissioners to construct a road to access the emergency medical building of the Meigs County Health Care Campus.
In addition to providing a key avenue to an emergency-care facility, the new roadway will create an estimated 30 jobs within 180 days of the facility opening.
“Ohio’s rural communities and small towns face a heavy burden when financing infrastructure projects,” Brown said. “This improvement project will provide residents better access to a vital community resource at the Meigs County Health Care Campus.”
