Chronicle-Telegram: Sen. Brown opposes online caffeine powder sales
CLEVELAND — The only thing standing between online consumers and a dietary supplement that killed a Keystone teen last spring is a three- to five-day shipping period.
That ease is at least part of the reason that U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown, D-Cleveland, came out against the sale of caffeine powder in a press conference Thursday. His office is sending a letter to Commissioner Margaret Hamburg of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, urging the agency to ban the powder.
