WFMJ: Senator Brown trying to pass proposal that would make drug treatment more accessible
The number of people dying from drug overdoses in the United States continues to climb.
In Ohio alone 1,914 people lost their lives in 2012 to a drug overdose. These latest numbers reveal that more people are dying from drugs than traffic accidents.
U.S. Senator Sherrod Brown, who represents the Valley, says, “We know we’ve got a problem when it’s easier to get heroin than it is to get the treatment that so many of these patients want.”
