U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown is joining a Cincinnati resident fighting for marriage equality before the U.S. Supreme Court.

The senator from Ohio sat down with Jim Obergefell in Washington, D.C.

Obergefell is there preparing for his case to be heard by the Supreme Court in about two weeks.

He’s fighting to have his name on his spouse’s death certificate.
