In honor of Friday the 13th, we’re giving you 13 frightening race updates (and reasons you should chip in $13).

- A new poll shows multi-millionaire Congressman Jim Renacci closing the gap in our race.
- The Republican National Committee (RNC) is attacking Sherrod.
- A Super PAC supporting Renacci reportedly engaged in some of the “shadiest” practices ever — and that’s saying a lot.
- It’s not just the special interests coming after Sherrod. Renacci is running TV attack ads, too.
- President Trump & Vice President Pence have personally come to Ohio to support Renacci.
- Renacci raised $2 million in the second quarter of the year, and that doesn’t include all the self-funding he can do.
- Sherrod’s been under attack since February of 2017 — and we have four months of attacks to come.
- A new group — backed by an Ohio businessman who tried to defeat Sherrod in 2012 — is getting ready to attack Sherrod again. Which isn’t great news right now, because…
- We’re only 116 DAYS from Election Day. That’s not a whole lot of time to turn things around, and with so much at stake this year, we can’t afford to lose Sherrod’s voice in the Senate.
- Even with your support so far, we have yet to reach our mid month goal. We appreciate everything you’ve done so far, but if you could chip in again, it would really help.
- In a post-Citizens United world, we don’t know how much special interest cash will find its way to Ohio. Back in 2012, it was over $40 million.
- Missing goals is scary. When we miss goals, it means we can’t afford all the resources we need to win. Which leads to our last, scariest update of all…
- Our mid month deadline is this Sunday.

Halfway through the month, we should be halfway to our July goal. That means we need to be at $337,500 by Sunday — and we’re not even close to that yet.
So if you can, rush in a contribution of $13 to help us reach this goal before Sunday.
