This week, we’re excited to launch African Americans for Sherrod, a constituent group highlighting Sherrod’s longtime fight for equity, justice, civil rights, and representation.

At Monday’s packed launch event, supporters, community leaders, and elected officials from all over Ohio gathered in Cleveland, speaking out about some of the critical issues they’re facing, and showing their support for Sherrod.

Sherrod’s work on issues ranging from healthcare to education is what drives people like Congresswoman Marcia Fudge—who spoke at the event alongside Cleveland Mayor Frank Jackson and Representative Stephanie Howse—to show their support.

"There are very few people who stand with us. Sherrod Brown stands with us. When they tried to take away social security benefits, Medicare, and Medicaid, Sherrod stood with us.
