Chillicothe graduate joins Brown campaign
Chillicothe Gazette — A former Chillicothe resident has been tagged to lead the Farmers for Sherrod Brown campaign created by the U.S. senator.
Lewis Jones, a Chillicothe High School graduate who went on to become a dairy farmer and farmer advocate in Grove City, has been selected to serve as chairman of the group formed during this election year to offer support for Ohio farmers and rural communities. Its purpose is to advise the senator on agricultural issues and build grassroots support for Brown in rural communities.
“I am honored to have the support of Lewis Jones and many other farmers across Ohio,” Brown said. “Our state’s farms are an important economic engine, and as we work together to move this economy forward, I will continue to fight for the needs of our farmers.”
