COLUMBUS, OH – Today, the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees (AFSCME) endorsed Senator Sherrod Brown for reelection. AFSCME workers share Sherrod’s commitment to making sure hard work pays off for everyone, including workers in public service.

- When Wall Street gambled away workers’ retirement savings, Sherrod led the years-long fight to pass the Butch Lewis Act – which successfully saved the pensions of over 100,000 Ohioans.
- Sherrod championed the Child Tax Credit expansion to provide working families with financial relief to accommodate the rising prices of healthcare, childcare, and housing.
- Sherrod introduced the Part-Time Worker Bill of Rights Act to expand pension and family leave benefits and give part-time workers more control over their schedule.
- Sherrod introduced the Educators Expense Deduction Modernization Act to quadruple the tax deductions teachers can use for school expenses to put more money back in their pockets.
