COLUMBUS, OH – Yesterday in Akron, Sherrod Brown and Dr. Amy Acton rallied with Ohioans who are ready to elect Democratic candidates up and down the ballot. With 8 days until Election Day, Ohioans are fired up and ready to elect a Senator who will take on special interests and corporations, fight to lower costs, and stand up for hardworking Ohioans.
“Ohio doesn’t have a voice in the Senate,” said Sherrod Brown. “Families see more money going out the door, and not enough money coming in – to pay for utilities, health care, groceries, everything. No one in the Senate is standing up to these corrupt corporations who game the system and raise your prices. They own Jon Husted, and we all pay for it.”

As Husted actively makes life harder for Ohio families, he says that struggling Ohioans aren’t “experienced at navigating the real world,” that they should “earn more” money, and calls their work ethic “broken.”
Because of Husted’s efforts to cut deals to bring data centers to the state, Ohioans have seen their utility bills skyrocket.
Ohio saw the second largest utility rate increase in the country.
As families struggle with soaring bills, Husted blamed Ohioans for bringing data centers to Ohio.
Jon Husted has voted time and time again to raise gas and grocery prices, leaving hardworking families to foot the bill.
In the Senate, Husted has voted nine times to increase health care premiums on Ohio families — all to help pay for the largest tax cut for billionaires in history.
As Ohio small businesses face skyrocketing costs, Jon Husted voted five times against reining in reckless tariffs saying “you don’t hear from the ones that love it.”
After the Supreme Court ruled some tariffs unconstitutional, Husted said tariff refunds should not go back to Ohioans who paid it.
